It is with sadness that we inform you of the death of Staff Sergeant Bob Thomas, who died on the 6th August 2024 from a mountain fall whilst attempting to run 100km from Keswick to Keswick whilst summitting 42 peaks of the Lake District. Bob served with the Regiment and Special Air Service between 1983 – 2006.
Bob was extremely proud of his roots and his wife and family are keen for both of his regiments to celebrate his life at his funeral which will be held on Thursday, 5th September at 1 p.m. in Hereford Cathedral.
Update from Ivor Morris, also a warning from Roy Francis that parking is difficult so allow extra time
For people that are attending Bob Thomas Funeral on Thursday, in Hereford.
A few admin points which I have been asked to up load on behalf of Shaun.
No medals required, the wake is in the green dragon which is about 100 metres away , after the service a small number of people , close family ,will escort Bobs Wife / family to the crematorium, for a short service , then they will join everyone at the wake . If the medals situation changes I’ll let you know.
