1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards 1685-1993

This CD reproduces the now out of print book by Michael Mann, which also details the activities of the regiment from its formation over 300 years ago to the Gulf War of 1991.  The regimental roots were begun in 1685 when King James II, wishing to put down the Duke of Monmouth rebellion, formed six new regiments of cavalry & infantry, the former including the “Queen’s Regiment of Horse” .  Details of the personnel and the campaigns they fought throughout the world are given in detail, with maps, paintings and photographs.  Written with great scholarship and detail this CD is a tribute to a regiment that prides itself on being “First & Foremost”
