Neil ‘Bongo’ Davies
It is with sadness that I inform you all of the death of WOII Neil ‘Bongo’ Davies, who passed away peacefully yesterday with his family at his bedside after a long battle with cancer. Neil arrived at the Regiment in 1967, joining 1st Troop, A Squadron in Detmold, a highlight of Neil’s regimental career was as C Squadron, 2nd Troop Sergeant on operations in the Lebanon in 1984 and he finished his service moulding future Crew Commanders as the Tactics Wing Sergeant Major at Bovington in 1992.
